Sundays

I love Sunday's! Our mornings are so crazy trying to get ready and out of here on time for church! After church we headed to my parents for the fantasy baseball draft! While the boys did that me, mom, and baby Maddox went out to lunch and then played outside! After all of that excitement we helped my parents with a small part of there home improvement project, we helped build and put up a header! DIY network always makes it look easy, and surprisingly it was pretty simple. So excited to have that experience under our belts! Haha:) love spending time out at my parents house!

Peel

Last Thursday me and the boys made a quick trip to e-ville. We had to go to target....always so fun! Since we were there we went to my fav place PEEL...yumm-o!!!! Love my days off with the boys:)

Yum!

Dinner tonight, quick, easy, and soooo yummy;) I didn't pre plan just checked the cabinets to see what they had to offer! This was so good and fifteen minutes start to finish!
• A lil evoo in a sauté pan followed by about fifteen shrimp (all we had) seasoned with garlic powder, salt, and pepper
•Added one bag of trader joes organic veggies (corn,peas,green beans,and carrots)
•cracked an egg and scrambled it up
•added two cups of cooked brown rice let it all set for a few minutes
That was it, and what a tasty meal def add that to the weekly rotation;)

Basketball

March madness is here!!! So fun. When I got home from work today Maddox showed me his "slam dunk" that daddy taught him!!! Boys will be boys and there is basketball fever up in this house:)

Loving this weather!

What a fabulous day to be off! I'm just loving this weather!!! Stick around spring:) started off this day with a trip to the doc, all is well with the baby:) this pregnancy has went by sooo fast! Only ten weeks left! After I got home Maddox and I took a trip to the mall, I was in desperate need of my makeup! Beach boys on,a coke in a glass bottle, and Maddox jabbering in the back!!!! We had a super productive day when we got back to the house. Garage cleaned out and so close to being all organized:) Maddox took a long nap so we worked super fast! We got our cabinets hung in the laundry room too! Yay! Yay! Love when we are so productive:) evening as usual dinner and then bath time for Maddox (pic below) he loves his bath!!!! Right after his bath he was playing with dental floss and if you scroll down you will see what happened with that! Now it's time for yogurt and a little fam tv time, then off to bed to get a good nights rest for this crazy week ahead!

I just want to post a few photos from this week to show the funny things that Maddox does on the daily! It's been a bit of a hectic week trying to get all of our furniture together and organizing it all along with just the every day commands of our lovely simple life:)

Ikea

Last weekend I was off on Saturday so hubby and I made a trip to Ikea! LOVE LOVE LOVE Ikea!!! Friday night we met my parents and they took Maddox for the night and all day on Saturday. I hate leaving Maddox and shed some tears every time...its just so sad I miss him so so so much. But always having Mr. Realistic next to me makes it a little easier. Knowing how excited my parents were to keep Madddox takes the edge off also, although without Mr. Realistic I would not figure it out as quickly;) So off we went to dinner on a Friday night just the two of us....what fun we had! No rush at all,able to just take our sweet time. We got up early Saturday morning to head out for our day. It was a pretty quick trip, I didn't even take a nap! We ate lunch at a really yummy bar-b-q place and for being first time visitors got a free bottle of sauce yumm-o! Then there it was IKEA

......oh so exciting and overwhelming! We knew what we were there for but had no idea there would be so much to pick from! We got lots of good deals and awesome furniture! I'll post a few pics of us putting things together and once it is all complete I will post final pics:)

We got back home about eight and then off again to get Maddox! We were so happy to have him back! Sunday was lots of fun too, started with my favorite crazy chaotic morning trying to get all of us ready and out the door for church. We went out for lunch then went home and  started the projects that ended up lasting a week! It was pretty easy to put the furniture together just took some time! 

Jake's Leg

I'm a little behind on my blog post's. Well, that's a bit of an understatement....I have so much to share about the last few weeks! The last Saturday in February me the hubby and my lil cousin Adam all went to a Jake's Leg concert right here in Bethalto. We had a ton of fun besides the weirdo who approached us towards the very end of the concert! The music was awesome and we looked so fabulous in our Greatful Dead t-shirts...Adam voted himself best dressed among the crowd! haha:) We were so lucky to have Ms. Aly watch baby Maddox for us again! She is the best babysitter....EVER! I always hope that Maddox is good for her so she will come back, she says he is but I know he has the potential to be a stinker at times:) hehe! Hopefully his sweetness outweighs it! We can't wait to go to another concert....maybe this summer we will make plans to attend another one and Ms.Aly will have two bambinos to tend to!!! I love when Adam comes over, we have such a good time together, I miss him a lot since we don't live close to one another but we make up for it with times like these! One bummer about the weekend though.....we didn't make it to church on Sunday and I felt really really guilty for a couple days but finally convinced myself it was ok :) We spent Sunday with my in-laws and had lots of fun! They had a cute slide for Maddox and he LOVED it....he needed some assistance getting up but had a blast going down! He loved being able to hang out with his grandparents for the day and we had a yummy healthy dinner too! -

The park

Today was a fun family day! We took Maddox to the park for the first time,we all had a really fun time! I think Maddox liked the slide the most! We rode the merry go round and that was a bit to intense I think..haha:) we followed up with lunch at the pump house...good call kel;) I love my days off with the boys! Couldn't ask for anything more:)
