3 years old

Three years gone in the blink of an eye. Seriously, seems like only yesterday we were on the way to the hospital to have this sweet baby boy. I have had the most amazing, fun, rewarding, three years with Maddox. Arjaye and I were blessed beyond belief being his parents. He is so fun, so particular, so sweet and helpful, and the most adorable blonde haired blue eyed little boy I have ever seen!

• Stats: 39inches 34 pounds
• Clothes: 3t
• Favorite Foods: pancakes, eggs, tacos, spaghetti, apples, crackers in the geen box(club crackers, haha) dried pineapple
• Favortie Activities: love tumbling class, we have been on Christmas break for the last few weeks but when we go back Maddox will be in “super bears” no longer with mommy I think he will love it. He loved all th birthday and Christmas fun this year! He was so into all the things we did and still talks about it!
• Vocabulary: He talks all the time! He was a late talker but seriously once he started he never stopped and that sweet little boy voice with his english/sounthern accent is the cutest! We have the best converstions, he is so smart. Some signature phrases “to infibity and beyond”  “ohayyyy mommeeeee” one evening on a drive around the neibhorhood we were discussing why some people didn’t have Chrstmas lights, his response was “ guess that’s just the way the world works mommy” yes, that really happened! funniest thing ever! oh and everything is “free because I’m free” 3 crackers 3 pineapple pieces, you get the idea!
• Signature Moves: “sneaked your seat” If you dare to leave your seat unattended in a room that this kid is in, be sure your seat will be sneaked my Maddox! He thinks he is so sneaky and funny and it really does get better everytime he does it!
• Other Milestones: We are peeing and pooping on the potty!!!! Wooo! A couple days after his birthday we started and he has been a rockstar ever since! Knock on wood but not one single accident. He didn’t have any interest until now but he is just killing it, like a champ. Just so so proud of this little boy! This may be to “mommy” but its just so sweet to sit in the bathroom with him while he does his business and have little converstions about why his belly hurts, where sissy is, why she wants to pee on the potty, etc. bathroom convos with my 3year old-again so sweet

So So blessed to have this little boy as my son. I pray that God will help us to raise him right and guide us when we don’t have the answers. Love my baby Maddox! xo

18 months

I can not believe my little princess is already 1 1/2 years old! The times has went by so quickly but it has been so much fun! Eliana is such a fun loving little girl. She loves to play inside or out. She is a daddy's girl but I would say she's crazy bout her mama too!  She is so easy going, not much gets her upset. She is such a little helper just like her brother!

• Age: 18 months
• Stats: 32in tall 25lbs
• Clothes: 18-24 month and some 2t
• Favorite Foods: oranges, apples, bananas, crackers, cereal bars, dried fruit, pb&j is still a signature here!  tacos, spaghetti, there is not much this little piglet will not taste and usually like! She is such a good eater!
• Words: talking up a storm over here for sure, the cutest thing ever! When a “real” word or phrase comes out Arjaye and I usually look at each other and usually “did you hear that” repeat what she said and grin from ear to ear. It is just so exciting to hear your child speak. Their little voices and accents, just so precious. my turn, done, again, beep beep beep, cheese, baby, cupcake, hot, mama, dada
• Favorite Activities: tumbling class is still so much fun for sis! She is getting so good at her front rolls and head stands! We are loving playing baby dolls, she is such a good little mommy!
• Signature Moves: dancing- anytime, anywhere, she hears music and those little hips start swaying, loves to get ready picking out her shoes, clothes and accessories, She has the sweetest gibberish conversations for a good thirty minutes with hand gestures and even holding the phone shoulder to ear so she can use both hands! haha! She loves to take our phones, hold them up to any one of us and say “cheese” and “snap” our pic! it’s the funniest, I guess we take a lot of pictures in this house!
• Other Milestones: Her second Christmas was so fabulous! Eliana got to meet her new cousin Tinley Jo. They even had matching outfits and a quick photo shoot on the couch! Now that Maddox pees in the potty Eliana insists on “going pee” too! haha! I’m thinking she is gonna be ready to knock out this potty training thing sooner rather than later!

This has been the sweetest 18 months, I say this at every stage, but this is my favorite so far! I am so lucky to be this little lady’s mama! Thank you God for giving her to me! xo

Our Christmas Celebration!

We have had the most amazing Christmas. Every year is better than the one before. Having these sweet babies makes the holidays so much more special! We were extra lucky this year cause my sis in law and her hubby were able to make it home and with the new bundle of joy! Sorry kids but join the club of family really wanting to just see your kid! haha!

We were able to celebrate with Arjaye’s  grandma Brenda Monday night. We went to eat together and then attended Central for their Christmas Eve Eve service. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! It is the most amazing church service I have ever seen! It brings tears to my eyes and I can feel it in my soul! So beyond lucky to get to experience it!

We spent Christmas Eve at our house prepping for the next day. We went by our friends house so the kiddos could exchange gifts and then attended our church’s Christmas Eve service. Very very different from central but still so great.

We woke up early to check out the gifts Santa left and we had a very happy family! So magical! We played with our toys and then got going on Christmas dinner. All of the Hiatt’s showed up soon after.

The day after Christmas we went to my parents house to celebrate with my side of the family. We had so much fun and I am so thankful we were all able to be together!

We were beyond blessed this year! happy family , safe travel, good eats and sweet sweet memories! So thankful for this fabulous time of the year and that the time was spent with family! Merry Christmas!

Birthday Party

We had Maddox’s birthday party at Riverbend Bounce House. It was so much fun! It was really nice to have his party at a venue, all I had to do was bring a cake and drinks. So simple and no fuss! With a birthday in the winter its hard to find things to do and its never a possibility to have it outside so this met all of our needs! He had so much fun and so did the other kiddos bouncing around in the bounce houses!

Once the bouncing fun was over, we went out to dinner at Geno’s with my parents and my bro and his fiancé. We had so much fun on the birthday party day! We missed granny and g-paw but they made the trip to Florida to meet our new niece Tinley Jo! So cool that she was born the day after Maddox’s birthday!

We are blessed beyond measure. I am so so thankful to the Lord who makes all of this possible and gives me all of these sweet family memories!

Maddox is 3!!!

Time just goes by way too fast! I say it everyday, but it is so true. Soak up every single moment because it really does go by in the blink of an eye.

We are so incredibly blessed by this little boy of ours. We are so so thankful that the Lord has given us the privilege of being his parents. It IS the best job in the world! Maddox is such a sweet and smart little boy. He blows my mind everyday. Says the cutest sweetest things. He is the best big brother a girl could have! He loves Eliana so much, sibling love is the sweetest! Just last night when sis was laying on the couch he went to her and told her “sweet dreams sissy, don't let the bed bugs bite, I see you in the morning” I mean it was just heart melting!!! I am beyond blessed to be the mommy of these two sweeties!

We spent Maddox's birthday going to the Magic House, so much fun!

What a fabulous 3rd birthday for this little guy. We had so much fun spending the day together. I cherish every moment we get together!
