Monday with Maddox

What a fun Monday!!! Maddox and I spent the day together just the two of us! All three of us slept in and had breakfast together then it was a day of running around for me and baby blue! We had to go to Edwardsville to run some errands. Target is always so fun so that's where it began, with a front row parking spot...oh yeah:) Maddox decided he would cry when I put him in the cart so I was that girl with a crying baby for the first five minutes haha oh how fun! As I started throwing in our items he was quickly entertained and in a calm state of mind! haha... I'm super excited about the binder clips I found to start one of my pinterest inspired creations!!! I'll post a pic as soon as I actually get it done! Hopefully I didn't leave one behind  after M ripped opened the package and they spewed all over the floor...oh the funny little things that put a smile on my face! And he literally just got them off the table here at home.....

Two trips to best buy...then lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings ...mmmm....yummy! I've never ate anywhere with only Maddox, Daddy is always with us.... it was kind of funny having a conversation with a one year old:) We stopped at The Cup and picked up a few cupcakes to take home and share with Daddy.
What a fun fun Monday, thanks to my hubby for helping me realize how important it is to have my own time with Maddox. Just me and Maddox! These moments are few and far between and before I know it he will be all grown up! so here is to Monday's with Maddox!

What a weekend!!!!!

Last night was soooo much fun!!!! Arjaye, my little cousin, and myself went to the Fox Theatre in Stl to see Rain a Beatles tribute band! We had a blast!!! Of course we prepped the whole way there by listening to The Beatles and discussing what we thought they would play and what we hoped they would play. It was amazing! The voices and music sounded exactly like The Beatles! They had several set and costume changes to imitate the many albums. Our seats were pretty far back and up in the balcony section but not seeing the band's faces up close and personal made it seem even more like we were actually at a real Beatles concert back in the 60's. There were two big screens on each side of the stage and during each set change they would play commercials from that time period or little interviews with the boys....so so cool! They played the music videos and live performances during the show. Rain played for almost three hours. After the intermission we moved seats so there was no one directly behind us or in front of us and  rocked out like little hippies from the sixties..hahahaha! They played so many good songs, just to name a few,  Yesterday, I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Am The Walrus, Strawberry Fields, Hello Goodbye, A Day In The Life,When I'm 64,A Little Help From My Friends.....I could go on and on!!!! They were all just fabulous! The encore performance was my fav....started with Give Peace A Chance, then on to Hey Jude and ending with the classic Let It Be. Awesome. Hey Jude is just so fun because everyone gets into it and the band really  played on that!!!! I haven't been to a ton of concerts but this one by far was the best ever!!! We will def go back, in hopes that they come back next year!!!! Miss Aly came over to watch baby Maddox which made for an even better night! Aly is the best little babysitter ever! She told us Maddox didn't cry one time even when we left! To have my mind at ease knowing my little boy was in such good care made the night so much more fun! We were so thankful that Aly could watch Maddox for us especially on such short notice! Thank you again Aly! How neat...We have our own little babysitter! hehe~

So happy we all got to spend the night together and experience something so cool! Sunday has been the perfect follow up to our wild and crazy night....."wild and crazy" haha! We all slept in well some later than others....Adam.....haha! It has been a fun lazy day,of course we have been watching football and munching all day. Best of all Maddox and I took a long snooze on the couch while the other two boys watched the game and talked about their records and future record buys! haha boys will be boys! Adam went back home after the Patriots game, I was so happy to see him this weekend and to hang out just us four! It's always a good time! For the rest of the evening just my and my two boys and two girls watching the game and being lazy together!!!! My fav way to spend an evening:)

I can't even describe how fabulous I feel after starting my morning off the right way!!!! 20 minutes of prenatal pilates and a yummy egg,turkey bacon,and spinach breakfast! Why do I not just make the time at least every other day to do just 20 min of this video or my yoga video? I WILL try harder to make it happen. stop making excuses miss karlee!!!! Ha! After all this does fall into my "hopeful healthy eating and exercising obsession" for 2012. Get on it girl!!!!!

oh what a week;)

   How lucky am I? Well I have been off for the last ten days!!! woooo how fun it has been! I did have to devote about five days to work from home and a couple at the salon but oh well no big deal, just  thankful that I have an awesome job to go to and fab friends that I get to see at work! Arjaye and I have started a couple projects here at home. We painted the living room however we had to wait til lil baby blue went to sleep so we painted at ten at night til two in the morning....that was a bit insane! I begged hubby to just finish without me because I was so tired but he was having none of that! shocker!! haha!! We purchased some new furniture to go with the new color palette and everything looks so cute! I'll post a pic as soon as we get the old furniture out.
    Maddox started to climb things this week which can be very entertaining! He is up and down, up and down on the couches. On Saturday he even worked up the nerve to climb on his little desk, that was....interesting!

      He also started doing this really cute laugh thing where he looks at one of us and fake laughs then we fake laugh and so on you get the idea! haha!Every time we fill up Maddox's little snack cup Ginger and Nala are not far behind just waiting for him to divvy out the treats! He is such a sucker for some attention from his puppies!

    

    We also got to experience his first snow. It only lasted about ten minutes before he lost a glove and bare handed it into the cold snow so of course we had to call it quits but all in all I think he enjoyed it! Maddox is so funny and every day is something new and better than the one before! I am so thankful to have spent the last week at home with my two fav boys;) 

     I love love my job at Treo, I am so thankful I have an awesome career and am able to provide for my family and that we are able to have this fun simple life of ours. I just have to say that being a  mom and wife is  the best and most rewarding job hands! I would love to be a stay at home mom/wife full time,  but I am also so lucky to only have to "go" to work four days out of the week. I guess at the end of the day I have the best of both worlds and knowing my hubby is the one who is with Maddox while I am at work is so so comforting! He is the  best hubby and daddy, bar none!!!!

   Today I made a super yummy breakfast for me and the boys! Healthy eating will be one of my hopeful healthy obsession's of 2012. It is so important to me what we put in our bodies for fuel! Now, not only is it important what I eat but I have a one year old who depends solely on me and the hubs for nutrition and I vow to only give him the best! We eat pretty good for the most part but there are always those days or evenings where we slip up....really just laziness and poor planning! No better time than now to start eating better. I am also determined to grow a garden with some of our fav fruits and veggies. It helps to have the hubs on board with this and lots of good advice from my Dad too! And of course my girl KC who I share many obsessions with, it's really fun to have someone to just take it to a different level with about these things, and who never thinks you have lost it! haha! Some people might think its crazy to send food pics and food warning labels to each other but that's where our weird obsession comes into play and we think it's the norm....I guess it is the norm in our crazy lil world! haha! Here is a pic of this little concoction I made this morning not a total brain teaser but I've never put all these things together before!

First I chopped up four pieces of turkey bacon, then added four eggs, and a cup of chopped spinach....yummy!!! split this between me and hubs..of course I shared with Maddox and Arjaye put his on a whole grain soft shell tortilla!

     So, I must recap some of my fav memories of 2011 since my blog was merely just a fantasy! 2011 was a great year and I am so thankful for the fabulous simple life that it was. There are so many fun memories that I have of spending time with my family,my friends, and the beginning of "our little family" I hope 2012 is just as fun!

ok....here it goes!!!

My first blog post, oh how exciting this is! I have been talking about "my blog" for several weeks now and finally I did it! woooo!!!!
I follow a few blogs that I love, and I just hope that mine portrays me like their's portrays who they are!
My blog will be my journal/scrapbook because this will be much easier to keep up with instead of finding my missing notebook and cutting and gluing all my pics on each particular page!
I am really pumped about sharing my experiences about being a wife, mommy, friend, and family girl, my favorite things!
